Over the weekend, I attended a beautiful wedding between one of my long-time closest friends and the love of her life! We were so excited to join in celebrating the nuptials between Stephanie and Joe, with a few of our favorite couples as well! Back in January, we celebrated the bachelorette for a weekend in Chicago and had an amazing time! Being that the couple has recently relocated to Milwaukee, I was excited that the wedding was going to be taking place in my city as well!
Just in time for a Spring wedding, we had a nice warm, sunshine-filled day in Milwaukee, that made our floral ensembles work perfectly! Jeff’s typical wedding uniform, depending on the venue and style, has consisted of comfy chinos, a crisp white shirt, suspenders, and a bow-tie! He always looks good in everything, but it’s nice to see him get all dressed up for a special occasion!
A few tears were being shed just as soon as the beautiful bride and her father hit the aisle! With such amazing lace detailing on her gown, simple yet sophisticated bouquet, and the amazing relationship I know Stephanie has with her dad, it was hard to hold them back for me as well!
The ceremony was romantic and elegant, just like the elongated train that draped from the bride’s waist.
Can you seriously get enough of the sun shining through those beautiful stain glass windows above the bridal party? Plus the beautiful wood detailing of the Best Place, it was a perfect setting!
Unsurprisingly, since Stephanie has always been a bit of a beer snob (in a good way), her and Joe share that passion and used unique beers as the identifiers for each of their tables. Also unsurprisingly, myself, Jeff, and our best friends ended up at Table Doom.
After the ceremony, cocktail hour took place in the cocktail lounge downstairs, which was nice to be able to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception following in the same space! Dinner was amazing – Steph’s a foodie too – and the dancing to follow left me with tired legs and vocal chords!
I opted for a long-sleeve floral dress from Banana Republic for this event, with great spring pastel colors! I brought out the purple flowers by mirroring that color in my shoes with these amazing strappy block heels from Target!
Finally, I finished the look off with a sparkly clutch and gold jewelry!
