A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending the Friday night show of Milwaukee Fashion Week! This year’s event was held at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. Between the 3 nights of shows, there were over 30 designers, 100 models, and a ton of amazing looks. It was so fun to see the different collections that these talented designers showcased on the runway.
For this year’s event, I opted for my black cropped wide leg jumpsuit, a lime/yellow velvet blazer, snakeskin mules, and I topped it all off with my signature gold accessories.
Before the beautiful models took the runway, I was able to connect with a few other fashion lovers like myself. It was so exciting to finally meet a few of my favorite local bloggers in person at the show. Isn’t it funny how even though we’ve never met our favorite influencers or celebrities, we tend to feel like we already know them when we do! Thankfully, everyone was excited like me to meet all of the local bloggers they follow but hadn’t yet met, and we had a great time enjoying the show together!
Finally, it was time for the show to begin! There were a number of talented designers that showcased everything from modern menswear, brightly hand-stamped womenswear, futuristic swimwear, and evening wear with an edge. There was even a gorgeous collection inspired by the industrial landscape of Ohio. Intrigued? Check out Electa Royal to see it for yourself.
With all over feathers, stunning headwear, and intricate details that made up each collection, overall I was very impressed with this year’s show, and am very excited to attend next year’s event. Hopefully for more than just one night like I’ve only been able to the past two years.
In addition to the show, there was also a number of vendors with clothes, accessories, and beauty products available for sale as well. Attendees could shop before, during, or after the show! A small part of me wishes I would have browsed the vendors displays before the show, and before wine, but I ended up purchasing this beautiful Italian leather metallic bracelet. I’ll consider it as an investment in a gorgeous piece, and an awesome reminder of my experience at this year’s presentation of Milwaukee Fashion Week!
