Having a great hair day, IMO, is one of the best feelings in the world. When my hair is styled, I truly feel unstoppable, which is why I quickly fell in love with Drybar when they opened in the Third Ward here in Milwaukee. If you haven’t been, the Drybar offers blowouts with a full menu of styles so you know you’ll look and feel your best when you leave. I love that they focus on one thing and aim to be the best at it, and that’s giving their guests a great hair day.
Your blowout experience begins with a wash (unless you opt for a dry style), and can include an add-on treatment such as the Blonde Ale Mask or Charcoal Mask, depending on your preference. After a wash and relaxing scalp massage, your stylist will blow dry and style your hair. All the while, you can watch the movie that’s playing, catch up on some emails, or just sit back and enjoy the self-care experience.
For my blowout style, I typically opt for something curly, since my hair is naturally straight, so I go with the Cosmo, Cosmo-Tai, or the Old Fashioned. Depending on what my plans are for the day, I always like to keep my curls a little tighter, since I know they will naturally fall throughout the day. I always rely on their Money Maker Flexible Hold Hairspray to make sure my style lasts, while still has some bounce!
Since I’ve been going to Drybar, I’ve fallen in love with a few of their products. Their Detox Dry Shampoo is a favorite, and has worked the best on my hair on my non-wash days. I also love to use the Triple Sec 3-In-1 Finishing Spray to add some texture to my hair, especially if I’m going to be styling or curling my hair. And of course, just like in the salon, I like to finish off my fresh styles at home with the Money Maker Flexible Hold Hairspray.
Beyond these 3 must-haves, Drybar has a variety of other products that I use in my hair drying and styling routine as well. I use the Buttercup Blow Dryer when I dry my hair a few times each week, and remember to use the Hot Toddy Heat Protectant Mist before I do. The Prep Rally Detangler is a great option when I need to brush through my hair after I get out of the shower. They’ve also added a few new products that I am excited to add to my lineup. I was able to try the Liquid Glass Smoothing Sealant during my last blowout, and ladies, let me tell you, my hair has never been smoother. Bonus, the sealant lasts up to 3 washes, so I enjoyed the silky smoothness days after my appointment.
And besides loving my Drybar Buttercup Blow Dryer, I have been on the hunt for a waver so the new Mixologist Interchangeable Styling Iron has been on my mind! Check out all of my Drybar Besties!
*Though I do have a partnership with Drybar Milwaukee in the Third Ward for blowouts, this post was not sponsored by Drybar. All opinions are my own, and products are ones I consistently purchase and use. When it comes down to it, I love the Drybar experience, whether that’s getting a blowout in the salon, or using their products to style my hair at home!
