Last night, I had the pleasure of attending the Launch Event for Farmer’s Fridge here in Milwaukee! The event took place at Black Swan in the Third Ward and featured a variety of the Farmer’s Fridge food and drink options, as well as a few other food, snack, and beverage vendors.
As a thanks to Jeff for always helping me out with photos and constantly being so supportive of everything I do, I figured it’d be nice to bring him along to this event! Free food, beers from Broken Bat Brewery, and cheese from Carr Valley. Yep, sounds like something he’d be into.
Our event started with a quick introduction to the Fridge itself. The touchscreen is easy to use and navigate to find your delicious and nutritious meal! With a variety of salads, wraps, snacks, and drinks, you’re sure to find your perfect pick!
Each item comes in a mason jar-style package with an easy twist-off top. If you don’t want to keep your jar, there’s an area on the fridge to recycle it. The Fridges are also stocked with utensils and napkins which makes it super easy to grab and go with everything you need.
There are currently 15 of the Fridges located around Milwaukee. If you download their app, you can locate the one nearest you and check out the menu for what’s available at any point in time. Most are restocked daily, but at least 5 days a week to make sure you’re always getting fresh and flavorful food options.
I’m looking forward to trying all of the options we got to take home with us, including…
Our fridge at home is now stocked full of delicious salads, bowls, and snacks – thankfully, we didn’t do a lot of grocery shopping this week and we definitely don’t need to anymore.
Besides all of the options from Farmer’s Fridge, there were a few additional vendors offering samples of food, desserts, wine, and beer. Thankfully, Jeff and I didn’t have dinner before we went because the samples were more than satisfactory! The desserts from Greige Patisserie were amazing; Jeff couldn’t stop talking about the salted caramel cookie we tried. We might need to make a pit stop at their brick & mortar location next time we’re in the neighborhood.
We also sampled beers from Broken Bat Brewing, bit into bit-size tomatoes from MightyVine, delighted over cheese from Carr Valley, and enjoyed bite-size wraps from Angelic Bakery.
Additionally, I’m looking forward to enjoying a few samples that we got to take home with us from the other vendors as well…
It was a great event to be able to learn about this awesome new food service offering, chat with some vendors, and catch up with a few blogger friends! Plus, sampling beers and bites with my favorite person isn’t too bad either.
Black Swan provided the perfect space for this event, there was a great atmosphere with everyone sampling and sipping, plus a few great spots for photo ops. So grateful to Farmer’s Fridge for having me and Jeff at their great event!
